About the Estate

The estate, centres around the late 12th century cruck timber frame ‘Hall’ house, detached kitchen and adjacent Tithe Barn, the collection of grade II listed building is surrounded by a working farm, cabinet making workshop, agricultural, letting and private venue for events and enterprises. 

Tithe Barn recently and sympathetically restored by John Beavan conserving its history, in the wealth of character old oak beams, the Tithe Barn lends itself to an array of events from a Medieval Banquets, private wedding ceremonies also Car & Motorcycle Pit Stop/Check points for refreshments. 

The residential let properties are not only set in the woods but in fact up in a tree, Eathelin and Vivianna are two luxurious treehouses built to allow guests to enjoy the tranquillity and picturesque countryside surround the estate whilst enjoying modern day living with fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, underfloor heating and WiFi. 

Whilst in one of the redundant farm building there is a lot of productivity in progress, this is a cabinet makers workshop, the hand tools line the benches and the smell of the wood takes you back to your woodwork lessons at school, John Beavan one of England’s most renowned cabinet makers works his skills producing some of the most creative and bespoke work in England today. 

Adding value to collection pieces by careful restoration and reproduction has hailed John Beavan as a noted cabinet maker of the 21st century and ‘one of England’s finest cabinetmakers’ “Duke of Richmond”
